With over 25 years of experience, Ross is a seasoned attorney and startup founder. Before joining Sweetnam Schuster and Schwartz, he founded MedLegal LLP, a boutique law firm specializing in mass tort litigation. Before that, he led practice groups at several DC-based AmLaw 100 law firms. He is also a certified information privacy professional (CIPP/US) with deep knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and compliance in the U.S. and Europe. Ross is passionate about defending the rights and interests of his clients in complex and high-stakes cases involving consumer protection.  Ross has a proven track record of success as a lead defense counsel in class actions and appellate litigation involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), a federal law that regulates telemarketing and automated calls and texts. He has also argued before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the U.S. Court of Appeals-DC Circuit, and other courts of appeal, challenging the FCC's interpretations and regulations of the TCPA. In addition to his work defending the rights of individuals who have suffered harm as the result of defective products and devices, Ross has extensive experience in legal writing, corporate law, and privacy and data security matters, as well as a deep understanding of the regulatory and business environment of the communications, technology, and mobile sectors.
